Fantasy Football Advice Needed

look ma no shoelaces, and I'm down with the KIIING
So here's the situation. My team is in complete shambles now that my first and second round picks (Deuce and TO) are done for. This week I need to pick up a running back from waivers and can't afford to botch it. The two guys out there are Cedric Benson and Michael Bennett. I'm going back and forth as both are pretty iffy in their own rights ... But I'm kinda leaning towards Benson b/c I think the guy he's playing behind (Jones) is more likely to miss a bunch of games the rest of the season. This is a pretty competetive league with some friends from school and I really can't afford to become the cupcake on everyone's schedule. Any thoughts on who the better pickup will be?

I'd go with Bennett.

He's been taking carries away from Mewelde Moore.

Don't drink the Bennett Kool-Aid!!!

He does this all the time, plays a great game but he still isn't the #1 RB on the Vikings. Mewelde Moore was battling a sprained ankle & wrist and will come back and take carries away.

That said Benson might play for 2 weeks but that won't get you far.

Really you are just screwed and just have to look for trades to help yourself out.

Sort term is Benson, who will get a shot all by himself at the atrocious 49er D this week...if he hits it big, look for him to eventually supplant Thomas Jones by the end of the year, because the Bears are looking for an excuse to put Benson in the starter role so they can let Jones go next year. That said, Moore is said to be dinged up this week too, so Bennett could get a lot more carries also, and the passing game won't be what it once was, so I think the RBs will get more in Minny too.

Tough call, but I'd pick up Benson this week and then check the Chicago papers online during the week next week to see what they are saying about it.
