If any of our regular members (HL, Xray, texasfight06...) were mistreated, I'd like to know about it. Especially if it was in my lot.

I got a little sunburnt on my face while sitting in your lot, its peeling a little bit, but I think I will be okay.

Once I read through this thread and observed Ms. Holbrook's address, I sent her a letter complaining about the lack of shade in your lot. She hasn't written back yet, but hopefully she will now of some way to rectify this situation before somebody gets seriously sunburned, like some really pale kid.

I have to admit, I would have thought, after posting on here and sharing serious discussions with all of the buckeye fans on this board, that some of you would have brought me some sunscreen. Or at least told the sun to leave me the hell alone.

Well I have this to say, if any of you come to Austin next year, you will see how well we protect the visiting fans from the Texas sun. Hell I will be your own personal Bentley Fonzworth. That is just how we do it down South.

Ding ding ding!!! We have a winner. That's exactly what I've thought for years. We had a few cops literally sneaking between RV's in our west campus lot trying to catch people with beer. I put as much blame on the people who decide how to allocate law enforcement to certain areas or create the policy that dictates it as I do anything else.

I guess you can generate more revenues writing an unlimited amount of minor misdemeanor open container tickets that you know most people will simply pay the ticket than you would arresting a few drunk and disorderly people who have to make a court appearance and would set it for trial to see if the cop would show up for court. If they want to solve the problem, then solve it... they're going after the wrong crowd and in the wrong manner.

No shit, three cops were walking between our bus and the bushes. Funny thing is, I unknowingly poured 3 beers right in front of them and they didn't say a word.

If I didn't deserve a citation, I don't know who does.

Did you literally pour 3 beers out? Why? Or are you using the word "pour" figuratively? (As in "pissed the beers out.")

And how do you unknowingly pour 3 beers out (regardless of the meaning of the word "pour")? I can see someone unknowingly pour a couple drops out, when you're holding your beer in your left hand and tying your shoe with the other, and you don't notice that you're tipping your beer a little, and OOPS! you spilled a little. But to spill 3 beers?

Can't tell if you typed that in sarcasm font or not.

I poured 3 beers into cups, one for me, one for my wife, and one for a buddy of mine right when the cops were standing behind me. I didn't know they were there.

Does that clear things up?

I didnt read the whole thread so I apologize if this has already been posted: over the course of staurday there must have been close to 200,000 people down there. 24 complaints and we're sending apologies? My tailgate was featured on the front page of the dispatch the next morning and it was unfortunatly some of the only good press our buckeyes have gotten in a few years. From what I saw, we had no problems with the tejas fans...we'd give them shit but in good fun. I think Ms Karen needs to start defending us as fans with all the money were throwing around on saturdays and stop giving us lectures...IMO

If the alumni held back the money enmasse, she'd notice.

This "24 complaints" figure has been cited many times in tacit support of the thesis that, for the most part, everything else was just fine.

A trustworthy axiom is that the 24 complaints received are not the sum total of all that could have been reported. Moreover, the fact that there were reports in such a high number should be taken as a warning sign, not a blessing.
That said there is this ...
What I firmly believe from all that I have read is that this isn't an instance of the students per se, certainly not of the alumni, acting like dicks. What I suspect is that these impressions are strongly influenced by the non-ticket holder hanger-ons - who may never have stepped onto the Ohio State campus in their life to learn, but are always ready to enjoy the party surrounding the game -- even if it is at the expense of the home teams' reputation, and the enjoyment of the visiting fans.
