I saw this the first week of the season quite a few times. Teams wearing white at home. Is this something new this year?

God that kicker is old. Morten Anderson, 46 years old. Used to be kicker for New Orleans, now the kicker for the Falcons.

This is the first week the Falcons have had an actual kicker. Michael Koenen was the K/P/KO guy for the first 2 weeks. Missing 8 of 10 FG in two weeks lost him the K portion of his title. I don't care if he is 46 or 64 he will make more than 2 of 10.

Yes, at least for the 2006-2007 season. Home jerseys are the white ones.

Of course its the home team's final decision prior to kickoff though.

No clue why the Saints went with white but you see a lot of teams wear white early in the season when it's hot(Jacksonville, Miami, Houston, etc.)
