Time Warner to produce 5 XU basketball games

Time Warner Cable SportsChannel will produce five Xavier University men?s basketball games in HDTV for Ohio and Northern Kentucky, starging with Temple at Xavier 7 p.m. Thursday.

The five games on TWC SportsChannel (311 and HDTV 1311) are part of a 10-game Atlantic 10 regional package from CBS Sports licensed to Time Warner Cable.

Announcer Bob McElligott and former Ohio State assistant coach Dave Cecutti will do the game Thursday. Then McElligott will be paired with former Ohio State basketball player Tony White for the other four.

White was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection at Ohio State, were he served as a captain during his senior season (1988-89). Following his graduation from Ohio State, with degrees in both marketing and finance, White earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Northwestern University School of Law and now serves as the Partner-in-Charge of the Thompson Hine law firm?s Columbus office.

White has also made a name for himself in the broadcast industry. He served as a color analyst for the Big Ten Network?s national television broadcasts of Ohio State men?s basketball from 2008-10 and he has been a regular color analyst for OHSAA coverage on ONN and Sports Time Ohio. He has also had a long career in radio, serving as 610 WTVN radio?s college basketball analyst for the last 16 years.
