The 14-year-old is believed to have used an eyebrow-trimming device with a sharp edge to inflict the injuries at about 2:15 p.m., said Lt. Shea Smith, a Greenville sheriff's spokesman. He said authorities believe one male student was taken by his parents to the hospital for a single stitch. The extent of the injury to a second male student was unclear, he said.

Yowee, I would assume that even having those in school would be a violation of some sort... I was picturing in my head tweezers or something like that.

I didn't realize that, guess I'm not well versed in cosmetic tools nowadays. Could qualify as a box cutter though, required expulsion....

What's all the hoopla about? Thump has staved off many attackers with his tweezers, I guess I don't see how this is news.

The ones we saw here were smaller disposable versions...3 inches long max with a small sickle-like edge.

Definitely dangerous if used that way.
