Explorations in what grinds OhioState001's gears

I mean, look, Les Miles probably HAD to go. Their program had stagnated, and they were impossibly behind bammer in every way. But to fire a very successful coach overall, and replace him with a guy owning a 28-31 career record because he went 6-2 as interim (incidentally, the kind of record you fired Miles for having) was almost too obtuse to not be some form of self-immolation.

yeah they railroaded Les out of there and they deserve this. i think he could have won again no problem, but boosters are impatient and retarded.

Youngstown State has a better head coach.

I dunno. I think Les had to go. I think his goose was cooked. Aside from 2011, they underachieved with respect to their preseason ranking every year since their 2007 Natty, and were clearly in a significant slide. Plus Les was no spring chicken. However, to get rid of him and then not even attempt to lure a top coach like Herman, or Fisher (a guy with LSU ties) and then go with Orgeron because he went 6-2 and sounds like a coonass is just 100% incomprehensible to me. Great fan base, solid tradition, great recruiting base in state and the region...that job has it all. They should be able to attract a Corvette, but settled for a rusted out 1978 Chevy Nova.
