I choke up over absolutely everything. With everything on the line in any games and an unsung hero coming through. Then, the announcers going crazy, it just makes it unbearable. I find that I get choked up watching classic games from the past over and over again.

Watching Jimmy V. run on the court looking for someone to hug during the 1984 National Championship Game is an example.

Also, the Cal-Stanford band game...

Oh god, I could go on forever.

I was choked up after the Holy Buckeye game at Purdue and the Fiesta win over Miami. The last time I was at the Shoe with my Dad when the band came down the ramp was pretty emotional. He had bypass surgery just the year before and I didn't know if I'd ever have another chance to see a game with him there.

This is the kind of environment I would need to choke up at a sporting event. To date I have never choked up at one. I'm sure once the boys start playing sports I will be crying like a baby every game.

Not often during a sporting event that I'm watching. but if I'm playing yes... for example when my football team went into the playoffs, and we narrowly lost our 2nd round game in the last minute everyone on my team was crying. It's emotional to watch a beloved sports team, but it multiplies by 100 when you are out on the field playing your guts out and giving it everything you possibly have to win.
