ESPN's over-hyping of this year's draft

I love the draft as much as anyone but it seems this year that ESPN has gone into "overkill" mode on the draft build-up and hype.
you'd think with over 10 hrs of 'draft specials' they would have covered more than the well-known picks. The mock draft was the first legit breakdown by position.

Don't you think that we pretty much know who the top four or five (or even six) are for this year? In no particular order:

Reggie Bush
Vince Young
Matt Leinart
Mario Williams
A.J. Hawk
D'Brickashaw Ferguson

Yes but BN27 is right in that the last few years everyone knew even the order of the first few picks. Some years in recent history the player was even signed before he was even picked.

As far as the over hyping, I think most people have hit it on the head as far as having what seems like allot of extra time, plus I am sure they have to try to compete with the NFL Network more than they did a year ago on this type of stuff.

I suppose this is off topic, but last night on ESPN they showed.... Wait for it...

Highlights of NFL players playing Madden against eachother in some kind of tourney. Alex Smith won, for those who are interetested. Beat Mark Clayton. Both players used the Colts.

That's when you know it's a slow sports week.

On topic, a little, before this, Hodge and Co. were chattin up OSU players as first round picks. Hodge said Youboty was a first rounder, and Rick Speilman and Hodge got in to it, and Hodge stood firm (and actually looked a little pissed) ending the segment with, "That's exactly why I think Youboty is the best pick here"

Mangold's name was floated around quite a bit (Both Youboty and Mangold's name were floating around the 20th or so).

Everyone on the show was drooling over what Bobby Carpenter has to offer.

All in all, there was nothing but good pub for OSU's program.
