Much more to do about pub. in a somewhat slow news week.
1) No outstanding Heisman race, debateable but WTF.
2) OSU consistantly snubs media hype: (shake the tree & see what falls out.)
3) NFL recruiting class marginal, MC adds an interesting sidebar.
4) Reliable condescending attitude regarding OSU football nation wide.

# But, Tressel's remarks directed towards Herbie may have ruffled enough feathers to "go to press" with the mook!

# Either way, in 1 week, just another byline to the Game buildup.

Dude, got a little sand in your vagina? I was only referring to the recent comments that Tressel has been making towards Kirk ever since he came out and picked against us @ NC State.

Hey man, that sand gets everywhere, it's annoying. Seriously, I'm not sure where you're coming from with this. I have heard at least three separate conversations between Herbie and JT, one of which was right after the NC State game, in which it was obvious that Herbie and Tressel get along just fine. The conversation following the NC State game was basically Tress giving Herbie a hard time about his pick, in an obvious good-natured way. Tress even went so far as to say that Herbie should pick against TOSU every week...again, obviously joking. I haven't heard Tressel say anything negative about Herbie whatsoever, unless you count his offhand comment that Tress wouldn't look to Herbie for advice on what changes to make. I really don't think there is any bad blood there, and I am positive that their relationship has absolutely nothing to do with this MoC fiasco.

The only motivation with ESPN IS ESPN. It's all about ratings. They'll dig wherever they think will get them decent publicity . They're just so big now that they're always looking for a big story. If you notice, they always make a big deal of their weekly target. Last week they overplayed T.O mouthing off to McNabb. It seems, every week they have to make mountains out of molehills.

Anyone remember how they put the heat on Bob Knight before he was fired ? They spent hours on that story. They dug, like ticks , into that story.

I think we're just the target on this one because of Clarett and because of the success and size of the program.

Nothing is worse than when they have one of their original programs about to air. I swear, you hear 200 times a day, "Don't forget, tonights debut of Playmakers". They blast it on radio and on every one of their stations.

They jumped the shark a long time ago. It's no longer sports reporting, it's trying to be entertaining and funny. They can take 90% of the heads and get rid of them because none of them are funny. It was interesting when Berman started it all with the nicknames, but now when you have Bill Pidto trying to crack a joke, that may be too much.

Is there a worse show on tv than Cold Pizza? That show is just unwatchable. Kit Hoover belongs on the pages of Playboy, not on television. Then, to boot, she's a judge on Dream Job. Sorry for the rant.

Go Bucks, ESPN blows.
