These pretzels are making me thirsty.
It will be a cold, cold, cold day in hell before I shell out my cash for that "Insider" information. Nothing but fucking greed on the part of ESPN. I'll wait for a few days and read it in the paper. Like someone else mentioned, much of what they now try to sell used to be free. Greed, nothing but greed.
And I sure as hell wouldn't pay to read anything that Stephen A. Smith has to say.

Yeah, I was thinking about getting it and I realized-- wait aren't they supposed to give us information? Why should I have to buy it? I guess it's all about money in every corporation now.

Also, if you dislike Stephen A as much as I do I posted a video of a group of guys heckling him at the NBA draft. It's in the professional basketball section.

ESPN's insider stuff is simply the cost of an ESPN The Magazine subscription. If you already have a subscription then the insider stuff is free. Yes it's a bunch of corporate stuff, but with the magazine only being a monthly, I don't mind getting a little extra stuff with my subscription. As for their college football. I don't go there for that kind of stuff. Their broad strokes coverage is what I expect and get from ESPN. Not in depth shit, that I can get elsewhere. I don't go to Wal-Mart to get fine foods, designer clothing, or anything else that's high-end. The only reason that I broke down and got the insider stuff at ESPN is for the new pod cast. It works pretty well except on the rare occasion when it takes them five and a half hours to get the Dan Patrick show MP3 posted.

The PodCast stuff is great! Hours and hours of college football radio shows. And the Insider price is correct ... it's only $4.95 a month, and you are automagically subscribed to the magazine with it. If you already get the mag, you can get Insider for free. The magazine is bi-weekly though, not monthly. If all someone is interested in is CFB than I would say it's probably not worth it. But if you follow CFB, CBB, NFL, and MLB, than it's a better buy than any other "premium" service.

Why are they supposed to give you the information?

I can't believe that people complain about something that costs less than a stinkin' happy meal. :roll1:
