I have been reading on our enemies message boards that it doesn't look good for him to return for his senior year at Meshitagain. One poster said that he is projected to be a mid second round pick. I guess he is content with that.

IMO this is gonna hurt Michigan very much. Their secondary is subpar and this makes it that much worse. Losing their two best DB's does not help Michigans cause for a third B10 title. Hopefully he can influence Gabe Watson to come out early too.

they thought he was coming back?

I guess that they were hoping he would since his stock dropped because of the OSU / Michigan game. They had hope because Watson has announced that he is coming back. The Michigan coaching staff has had Jackson talk to Shazor about the benefits of staying a 4th year but it isn't working. They better hope that watson doesn't leave early.

It's going to hurt them to lose Shazor? I didn't know he was still on the field I hadn't heard his name in so long.

*shrug* I dunno I'm scared that if he leaves they might get an actual player on the field.

I know it's sad when a backup coming in might actually improve the defense. It's gonna hurt them because they are so thin at that position. Their backups are pathetic and thats saying alot when the starters are as bad as they are.

Michigan's defense was so bad the second half of the season, that i could care less who leaves early and who stays. I think theyll improve somewhat next year, but they just dont have the LBs or Dline depth to scare anybody. Shazor had his named called once in the two biggest games of the year and that was when he fell down and let Tony G. open the scoring in the Shoe. He's so over-rated he should leave now, because his stock will only drop.

I remember on our second offenseive play of The Game where Brandon Joe ran around left end from the 28 and collided with Shazor at about the 33. Even though the hit made a loud sound and Musburger procliamed that Shazor made a big hit, Joe kept going forward to the 34...Shazor didn't even slow him down.

It seems like Shazor's bark was worse than his bite. Anytime announcers talked about him they would mention how hard he hits and his amazing tackles. The only player more overrated than Shazor is Marlin Jackson.

I would love to see Shazor come back for another overrated, position-redefining(not!) season. That way his slow, plodding, no-lateral-movement presence will clog up at least one starting spot that could potentially go to a real playmaker.

Wait... wait... wait.. you mean to tell me Michigan players (as opposed to the team as a whole)get hype they don't earn?

This may come as a surprise to some people, but Michigan's secondary has yet to recover from the loss of Charles Woodson - media hype notwithstanding.

Watson already announced to some Detroit newspaper that he is coming back to get his degree and take care of some "unfinished business".

I believe Marlin Jackson and Braylon Edwards returned to UM this past season under the "take care of unfinished business" mantra. I wonder what he could be referring to? Maybe he ought to talk with Marlin and Braylon first before he makes this rash decision. :wink2:

Ernest better bulk up to play OLB...as Jerry Glanville would say, "this is the NFL, which stands for Not For Long" when you are a 235 lb. safety.
