Hell yes, you can certainly be a fan without being an alum.

It's the "fans" who think that Ohio State history began in 2002 that drive people nuts. They have some sick sense of entitlement and think that every year should be a national championship year and that anything less is unacceptable. Those people are an embarrassment to the university and the supporters of the athletic program.

They're kind of like the Cryami fans (back when they had fans) who insisted that football was invented in 1983 and that "probation years" don't count.

I remember many ruined birthdays(11/19) thanks to a team from up north winning... that was the biggest game of the year.

Not sure what you mean. There has been some good analysis and discussion in several threads (e.g., 2009 tOSU Offense). This is what makes BP great.

Yes, that's what I said. I have seen only a very small amount of smart analysis, but all the smart analysis I have seen has been right here on BP.

There is typically some good analysis at theozone.net as well. BP and the o-zone are pretty much the only sites I go to for information on Buckeye athletics. I used to read the Dispatch and the Plain Dealer, but their writers don't know a lot about football. Occasionally, the Dispatch will run a good human interest story on a player or coach. If there's a good story out there not on BP or the o-zone, I'm counting on someone from BP to link it.

Gotta admit that I didn't read any threads this week except for LordJeff's because it was the only one that seemed to make any sense. Therefore, I have no idea how bad our "fans" were bashing on our Buckeyes this week, and rightfully don't give a rat's ass.

Something doesn't make sense in that sentence...
