Eli Manning - Out for 4 weeks.

I won a math debate
ESPN - Sources: Shoulder to sit Giants' Manning a month - NFL

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has a slightly separated shoulder which is expected to keep him out at least a month, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen on Monday.

Doctors told the team that Manning does not need surgery, but the quarterback will get a second opinion from orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala. After the game Sunday, Manning said the shoulder was just bruised and sore.

It was feared that Manning also had torn his labrum in Sunday night's 45-35 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but an MRI determined that was not the case, sources said.

Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon emphatically denied that Manning had separated the shoulder and said that it was a contusion of the AC joint and he is day-to-day.

Hanlon added: "Don't be shocked if you see him playing on Sunday."

Careful everyone...Mike Patrick might just come after you and say there's too much hate on the internet for Eli just like there is for Jesus Clausen. I'm sure he'll show up in a Hummer limo too.

SD soooo got the better end of that deal. Eli is not a leader at all.

Yeah, AJ Smith can draft pretty damned well. He traded the #1 pick, Mike Vick, for Atlantas first and second pick, with those he got Tomlinson and Brees, a few years later, he trades the #1 pick again, Eli (Who said he wouldn't sign for SD) and got Rivers, Merriman, and Kaeding out of it. So two guys, who havn't ammounted to much of anything for 5 pro-bowlers.

Now, all of that will be for nothing if a ring doesn't come out of this, we have a great team, still curious about the coach but he did manage to pull of a nice win on Satuday. Probably the best collection of talent in the NFL, but still hasn't amounted to a single playoff victory :(

He let Brees go for nothing.

He let an injured Brees go for nothing, I was upset about that at first and thought he made a horrible mistake but so far it's not working out too poorly for us. He's not in a team in the AFC-West, he put up good numbers in San Diego one year, then they would go down the next, and we had Rivers waiting who the management had decided was our franchise QB.

If anything it was nice to the player, I was afraid he would wind up in Denver or worse...
