Woodland Hills High School linebacker Ejuan Price has been granted his release from a letter of intent with Ohio State and plans to attend Pitt.
Price, who graduated from Woodland Hills this month, drove Monday to Columbus, Ohio, with his grandfather and met with new Ohio State coach Luke Fickell. Ohio State gave Price his release from his letter of intent and Price eventually called Pitt's coaches.
Woodland Hills coach George Novak said Pitt has a scholarship for Price, who was a Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 selection.
"Pitt is where he wants to go," Novak said. "Hopefully, he can get all the paper work together and get enrolled in summer classes there."
On signing day in February, Price couldn't decide whether to sign with Ohio State or Pitt. That day, he talked on the phone with Ohio State coach Jim Tressel and Pitt coach Todd Graham before faxing his letter of intent to Ohio State.
Novak said the turmoil surrounding Ohio State's program was the main reason Price asked for his release. But he asked for the release before Tressel resigned.
