http://www.dailystar.com/dailystar/opinion/83885.php I was amused by this article, as well as outraged by the idiotic German judge who didn't give this hacker geek hard time. Personally, I think they should throw exceptionally damaging hackers into the general population, w/ the murderers, rapists, gangbangers,etc., and let the geeks run for their lives. I think 6 months in San Quentin or Lucasville would be enough to scare the shit out of any of these punks.

I used to feel strongly against hackers. Then I realized that if they hadn't spent the last several years as pests, forcing the improvement of Internet security and virus protection; Al Qaeda terrorists probably would have crippled vast networks by now.

So I don't get pissed off about hackers anymore, unless they're actual terrorists. But if they steal large sums of money, put them away for a long time.

Didn't they just break up a terrorist cell in a prison? I could see some hacker agreeing to do a massive attack in exchange for not being raped in the shower.
