Eddie Better Watch Out

CALM DOWN LAD- I have been around here way to long to do something like that!! Just having fun before the season begins! Then as the last few years have gone I will go hide in a corner......

I gotta get my shots in while I can!
Buck up friends, and show some compassion for the downtrodden goldenhomers. But for the grace of God (or something like that) it could be us trying to salvage a sense of program success by scouring the NFL for the occasional alum who is (maybe) going to secure a starting spot.

I think Eddie's just like The Bus; a great power runner on the back end of his career.

You are so right, but the problem is it not the "occassional domer"
there in fact is alot which really ticks me off at the lack of success over the last 10 years.....

No doubt. I would assume that you'll be back eventually (I'm thinking around 4-5 years), if only because a lot of HS kids are intrigued by the national following and tradition. Right now though, you're not plucking away the 5-stars like you used to.

If I were an ND fan, I'd want to see the program go back to old school football, and stop messing around with all the fancy-shmancy crap.

That guy was just a beast on the field since his sophomore year (3-year starter). From what I understand, some pro scouts considered him a little undersized, but he's got all the power he needs to go with his tremendous speed and versatility. The Saints made a very smart pick there - the best value of the first round in my opinion. In a few years, a lot of teams that picked earlier and bypassed Smith are going to let out a collective "D'oh!"
