Watching the L'ville - Oregon State game. The Beavers are doing nothing to dispel the perception that the Pac-10 can't play physical football or defense. The Cardinals are shoving them around all over the field.

It's sad that Louisville's schedule sucks. This looks like a decent team -- aggressive DL that's getting tons of pressure, a fast and athletic secondary, Mike Bush is a load at TB, and Brian Brohm looks to be everything he was hyped to be. They've got some receivers, too. I'd like to see these guys get challenged by someone other than a P10 doormat...one pre-game analysis of this game called it the "toughest" game the Cardinals face all year. Excuse me?? 35-10 at the half.

-------------------

E!SPiN is already back on scUM's jock. Yeah, 38 points in the first half looks good, but for LLLloyd's sakes, this is Eastern Michigan here. May had an almost intelligent comment -- he said that it looked like a 7 on 7 drill. Well, it's also about as useful.

--------------------

The shocker so far is Vanderbilt, up 17-3 at Ole Miss. The running game highlights look great for the Commodores, and it would be nice if they could play spoiler in the SEC. I'm starting to believe that we're going to get some help from Vandy at least once. Of course, the E!SPiN studio is all over their jocks as well.

---------------------

Finally, do these Big East coaches in this BEast Conference commercial look less-than-enthusiastic? I wonder if they believe what they're saying.

Oh, one more BEast note: Jason Gwaltney scored a TD for WVU...he's probably going to be a good one for them, but we'll be fine without ya, Jason.

My upset pick this week was Oregon State over Louisville ... don't I feel like an idiot. I didn't doubt that Louisville was a very good team, but their defensive line is dominating. I hope voters are watching this game, because the Cards deserve to be a Top-10 team ahead of, at least, FSU and ND.

Well Lou Holtz said that he was impressed by "J. D. Stockley."

Damn they better get somebody new in there soon. . .

I can't believe how so many announcers and analysts, etc., don't know players' names. Even the casual fan should have known this one. . .
