GO BUCKS!
  • Usually I don't tune into this show, but I just saw a piece on the Haitian womens national soccer team following the earthquake...I gotta admit that that was probably one of the finest things I've ever seen ESPN produce. Brought a tear to my all over again for the struggle following the earthquake; definately brought it back into my mind. Kudos to ESPN for that piece, which stood out starkly amongst the rest of the stuff I've seen plastered over their 5-6 channels.

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this; I looked for an E:60 thread but didn't see one. Guide me the right direction if I've messed up.

30 for 30 has produced a few of my favorite sports stories ever. The Ricky Williams one was fantastic.

Polite disagreement here Numbers - I think the Ricky Williams piece was the weakest one yet. Probably because I have never really cared that much about Ricky Williams.

My top five (thus far) have been:

    1. Canada loses Wayne Gretzky to LA Kings
    2. THE U
    3. Reggie Miller vs. NY Knicks
    4. Trial of Allen Iverson
    5. The one about the Baltimore Colts/Ravens band (forget the name)

My favorite one thus far was "The Guru of Go."

Ricky one wasn't my favorite, just thought it was really good.

Gretzky and Iverson were my two favorites. All have been good.

Thought the one about the birth of Fantasy Sports, "Silly Little Game" was just ok...

I don't really play fantasy baseball - so it was interesting, but not attention grabbing.
I'm really looking forward to the following:

    1. Straight outta LA - When the Raiders left for Oakland - by Ice Cube
    ESPN 30 for 30

    2. House that George Build - All about Steinbrenner
    ESPN 30 for 30

    3. The Two Escobars - About the Murder of the 1994 Columbian Soccer Player
    ESPN 30 for 30
