Kirby's are for wussies. You do know that you are not using the full power of that motor right? A trick of the trade I found out about their demo models. Their is a small switch where you plug in your attachment. Only the demo attachments flip this switch to kick in the full power of the motor.

Perhaps I need to invest in one. I've gone through 3 vacuums in the last 5 years! I cannot find one that sucks good enough.

we bought the one that he used in the demo along with all of the attachments. He offered to go to his truck and get us a new one and we told him not to worry about it. we like this one :o)

I have the Dyson Animal. The amount of pet hair/dander that this thing gets out is unreal. Make sure to get the DC 14 though, the other one has a smaller motor.

$550, Hell. Have you checked the prices of some of the Kirby's?We have an ancient Electrolux they are historically the best. Ours was a discontinued model , but it really, really sucks! :tongue2:
The wife is hinting she wants a Dyson.
Well, I guess they are purtier!
$550 for a 14 Animal. Upright.
My Wife gets a new $80 vacume every year or so, but one of these days I am sure I will have to brake down and get her a Dyson.....

My mother was sucked (heh) into the Kirby sales pitch and has had hers for almost 10 years. She loves it. She also has 7 dogs, so it takes a beating.
