Marlington's Dymonte Thomas ran for 232 yards on just 13 carries and three touchdowns as the Dukes earned a win over Alliance.

LEXINGTON TWP. When he first walked into Marlington High School Stadium, Dymonte Thomas can?t remember all the specifics. But he remembers what it felt like.
The stadium, he said, was dingy. The field was muddy. The team wasn?t all that good.
And then Thomas made the decision to leave Alliance High School and come to Marlington, where his father starred at quarterback in the 1980s.
?I remember coming out here at the old field with the raggedy stadium,? Thomas said. ?Then my freshman year I was here and we made the playoffs. Then it became if we made the playoffs then, we should make it this year and win state.?
Just a sophomore, Thomas still is learning the game. He?s still learning the defense, and there?s a lot to learn since he plays defensive end, nose tackle, linebacker and safety.
Marlington running backs Alden Hill and Dymonte Thomas combined for 424 yards on the ground as Marlington easily advances past Licking Valley.
Thomas rushed 15 times for 251 yards and two touchdowns. Hill rushed 22 times for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Hill also had a 15-yard touchdown reception
Alden Hill and Dymnonte Thomas continued to find success for the dominating Marlington running game. Thomas finished with 154 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown. Hill ran 27 times for 104 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Marlington 35, Dover 23

With all the talk of Marlington's dynamic duo of junior running backs Alden Hill and Dymonte Thomas, the game turned out to be a showcase for Dukes quarterback Jesse Carpenter. The junior, known as ''the Matrix'' because no one can tackle him, was 10-of-18 for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
. . .
Marlington coach Ed Miley thought he would need Carpenter to go airborne because of Dover's solid run defense and Thomas suffering from illness all week.
. . .
The ill Thomas still managed to rush for 154 yards on 23 carries and Hill had 104 on 27 carries. The defense bounced on five Tornado turnovers.
