Duct tape is found in many people's tool kits. Its versatility and holding power are evidenced by its humorous nickname in engineering circles: "the ultimate material." Another frequent joke is that a handyman needs only two tools: duct tape for "sticking" and the lubricant WD-40 for "unsticking."
What do you use duct tape for?

I was on a commercial airplane. Before take off they said that there was a pressure problem with the door (i.e. sealing properly). Everyone would have to disembark; since after they fix it they would have to pressure test the cabin, etc. When we reboarded I noticed a bunch of duct tape around a portion of the door gasket. I always wondered if that was a FAA approved fix.

the study was probably funded by the anti-duct tape consortium. expect 3m to immediately issue a study that found that duct tape helps you lose weight, find your perfect mate, and cure hemorrhoids.
