When
Ohio State mauled their way to the national title in 2014, they did it thanks to a physical offensive line and a physical defensive line, both lines taking control of the Sugar Bowl and the CFB National Championship Game. Urban Meyer loves physical play in the trenches, and two of the West’s most physical players are both commits to Ohio State, offensive lineman Wyatt Davis from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco and defensive tackle Haskell Garrett, who was the best player on the Gaels’ last fall when they won the national title. When we saw Gorman play Bellevue (Wash.) early last season, the Wolverines and their vaunted running game couldn’t stop Garrett, double and triple teaming him and watching his push into the backfield disrupt play after play. When he wasn’t slowed by a little shoulder tweak at The Opening, Garrett was doing the same thing, disrupting plays and giving the interior lineman fits all day with his strength and power.
