DT Haskell (The Rascal) Garrett (All B1G, 1st Team All-American)

I believe there are direct flights from Vegas to CMH, and the kid is from Hawaii originally (apparently with family in the MW) - so I'm not as scared as most that it sticks.

Let's hope that his interest level in all other school remains as it is currently:

Have read that he and his family started out in Hawaii, then lived in Burlingtin, Vermont for about 7-8 years prior to going back to Hawaii and then ultimately to Vegas/Bishop Gorman.

His top3 were Eastern Schools.

So this is not a traditional out West kid. The whole family has moved a lot and has no particular regional allegiance or deep seeded tie. Which works in our favor in terms of holding this commitment in my opinion

Greg Biggins of Scout also reports that Haskell has a lot of family in the midwest & that he grew up an Ohio State fan.

He played a year or two at St Louis high school in Honolulu, a private school football powerhouse. His connections back to Da Aina could come in quite beneficial...

WOW, this commit is about as big as they come. Thrilled to have the pledge but of course we will have to actively stay on this one I am sure...as the Bank often says, a commit like this often means the prospect favors your school. Nonetheless, Coach Smith and LJ Sr. made quick work of this one and enormous commitment. Now just keep getting him on campus...
