DT Garrett "The Gladiator" Goebel (official thread)

This makes 8 of the top 100. With solid shots at Pryor and Jenkins and outside shots at several others we could realistically land 10 or more. That is 10% (I always was a math whiz) of the elite recruits in the country.

(Pretty impressive till you note that USC had 12 last year and 13 the year before.)

Cumulatively, we could end up with a class with the following top 100 players(using solely Scout and Rivals):

Adams
Brewster
Shugarts
Jenkins
Goebel
Sweat
Posey
Stoneburner
Torrence
Thomas
Scott
Pryor
Hale
Fuller

Goebel is by far my favorite defensive recruit so far(not that we have a lot or anything). He has a non-stop motor, top notch fundamentals, and elite athleticism and size.

He will be a perfect Defensive Tackle. You probably couldn't design a better Defensive Tackle for Ohio State's scheme.

Fantastic news! This adds to an already special class. These big guys will definitely be able to get after it and challange each other in practice, making themselves better on gamedays. Clearly a challenge Garrett welcomes. Can't wait to see these fine student athletes in S & G!

Welcome Aboard Garrett! It's a great time to be a Buckeye!

HELL YES...MOST IMPORTANT GET OF THE RECRUITING SEASON SO FAR....THANKS XPUN FOR YOUR INSIDE LOOK AT THINGS

Not so fast...

The most important recruiting get of the year is clearly and without any doubt Michael Brewster. Without this kid in our class, I would hazzard to say we would not have half of the recruits we currently have and have the potential to land in the future. He has been working the recruiting circuit hard since the day is committed and has single-handedly helped make this an incredible recruiting class.
