DT Garrett "The Gladiator" Goebel (official thread)

I don't think he was ever on the verge of commiting. He was always planning on taking the Michigan visit because he's going to be thorough, and when he's decided, his recruitment will be over and done with.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it a little odd that XPunisher hasn't posted for some time now? He use to post often, but nothing since Garrett decided to take another visit.

From the Michigan site...Adams says OSU is the team to beat but Michigan, Notre Dame, LSU and Florida are also right there. He will be in Ann Arbor for Junior Day on 2/17.

if anyone on here has a membership to buckeye sports bulletin, can they go there and give us a summary on the recent article about mike.
here is the link to the article:
BuckeyeSports.com // An (Un)eventful Weekend
in the summary it says something about how mike was supposed to commit to the buckeyes this past weekend at a banquet but he decided not to. can anyone elaborate on this for me and give me some sort of reason why he didn't commit to us.

He didn't commit because he is starting to look around, specifically, the SEC.

Mike says tOSU is his leader but some schools are catching up. He does not have a timetable to decide.

Do you think there will be cause for concern at some point?

Mike says he enjoyed his trip to Michigan and likes the depth chart. He will travel to Tennessee for a Jr. Day and hopes to get to UF this summer.

I'm sure XPunisher would love to be giving you daily updates on Garrett's situation. Unfortunately, he's been hospitalized recently with the repercussions of failed back fusion surgery. Please pray for a quick recovery so he can continue to stay in touch!

Sorry to hear that. I hope he fully recovers and is up and about soon. Back problems are no fun. Get well soon!

living in florida i have been on the ledge since jan 9th...all i hear is tebow this and harvin that...i need some good buckeye news to make it until the season...sorry but it has been tough for us down here....

Here is your good Buckeye news:

We have Michael Brewster locked up...oh yeah, and Mike Adams, JB Shugarts, DeVoe Torrence, Jake Stoneburner, DeVier Posey, Andrew Sweat, Nathan Williams and Ben Buchanan as well...and it's not even the beginning of their senior years.

Let's keep some perspective boys. I want Goebel, Koger, Pryor, Jenkins, Filer/Hale, Jeff Fuller, and Cordale Scott in a Buckeye uni in the worst way (preferably not in the same uni all at once ), but things could be worse.

Back to Goebel...XPun - get better.

Drat! Another perfectly good conspiracy theory goes down the drain....

Maybe now some of you will realize that the recruits and their families live in the real world, just like the rest of us. And sometimes, there are more important things going on in their lives than posting on BP so that we can get our recruiting fixes.

BG - I hope that all is going well with your recovery. Best to you and your family.
