Dre'Mont Jones will be on the field one last time for the Buckeyes in Pasedena as the Buckeye defensive tackle announces he will enter the 2019 NFL Draft, but does plan to play in the Rose Bowl.
The news is contrary to earlier rumors and reports that Jones would not play in the game.
Jones ranks second on the team in both sacks (8.5) and tackles for loss (13.5), trailing only Chase Young in both categories. He's also forced a fumble, recovered three fumbles of his own – one of which went for a touchdown – and had an interception returned for a touchdown during the team's win against TCU.
Jones joins Dwayne Haskins as an Ohio State player with high draft stock still electing to play in the team's bowl game as early projections have him being selected anywhere from mid first round to early second round.

Just glad we got to see him one more year, could have definitely come out last year. Add on the fact that he still played in the Rose Bowl damn well knowing he is a first round pick? I wish Mr. Jones all the success in the world, he has certainly earned it. True Buckeye and a joy to watch, best of luck to him.
I got the chance to chat with Dre'Mont's mom and dad a couple years ago before the Wisconsin game before he was a household name in Buckeyeland. They seemed like really humble people and I loved that they gushed about his work ethic and leadership, not his football skills. I became a huge fan from that point on.
Best of luck in the League Dre'Mont! Buckeye Nation will be rooting hard for ya!
