Reminds me somewhat of Will Smith in that everyone knows he's really good but you watch him and still think he's underrated.

Both Bosas and Linsley were selected as starters for their respective conferences while Heyward, Lattimore and Ward were voted in as backups.

For Heyward, it’s the third time in the last five years that he has earned first-team All-Pro honors from the AP. Heyward, who was previously a first-team All-Pro in 2017 and 2019 and also earned second-team All-Pro honors last season, is back on the first team this year after recording a career-high 89 total tackles with 10 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, nine pass deflections (also a career-high), one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery during the 2021 season for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

2022 PFWA Off-Field Award nominees announced
Each year, the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) vote for several off-field awards given to people working in or associated with the NFL. The 2022 Off-Field Awards balloting is underway through May 1, with the winners announced May 9-13 and May 16-17.
Good Guy Award (NFL player for his qualities and professional style in helping pro football writers do their jobs):
DT Cameron Heyward, Pittsburgh Steelers — Heyward did not miss an availability for the 2021 season, and those on the beat locally said he never avoided a tough question as he offered open and honest discussions about everything from on-the-field issues to the impact of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement. He was cited for consistently going “above and beyond’’ to build an honest rapport with those who cover the team.

Steelers’ Cameron Heyward selected as PFWA 2022 Good Guy Award winner
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Cameron Heyward, who was praised for his dealings with local and national media during the previous season, has been selected as the 2022 Good Guy Award winner by the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA).

“We give out the Chief Award — named after team patriarch Art Rooney — for cooperation with the media every year, and it got to the point where we had to alter the rules to not allow back-to-back winners. If not, Cam Heyward would’ve won every award since. Instead, he’s won a record three in a span of eight seasons,” said PFWA Pittsburgh Chapter president Mark Kaboly of The Athletic. “I can go on forever about Heyward’s generosity with the media. During the week while most stars would pick a day to talk, Heyward would hold court any day of the week in front of his locker, and a line would form for impromptu 1 on 1s. He never turned anybody away. When the locker rooms would open after games, the entire media group would go right for Heyward, win or lose. When COVID hit, he never missed a week talking to the media, and it never seemed like a chore for him. He enjoyed being the voice of the team, and he used it to get his message across through the media, especially in tough times, and there have been a few of those over his tenure with the Steelers. He sets the tone in the locker room, and his teammates tend to follow his lead.”

Cam was back in town for the spring game. Bobby Carpenter was talking on his radio show about how his son was collecting autographs on a hat over at the Woody where all the former players were gathered after the game. Bobby said he told his kid that he wasn’t going to introduce him to anyone, he had to go ask them personally. He’d point them out, tell him who they were, then send him on his way.
He commented about how nice Cam was. And then he also remarked about how huge he is. When a former NFL player comments about how huge someone is, you know that’s a big guy. I’m sure Cam doesn’t make it back every year and I assume this was a gesture of respect in honor of his fallen teammate. (RIP Dwayne.) But I think that’s kind of a strong message.
Incidentally, the recruits get to see that, how all these former players come back and what a family atmosphere it is. (Herbie was there as well and from what I saw he didn’t seek out any media attention. Orlando Pace was back in town too. So was Chicago Bears starting QB Justin Fields.) I don’t know what it’s like at other schools, but I hear former players who have played in the NFL and interacted with a lot of players from other schools say that it’s something unique to the culture at Ohio State. All these former players know each other and interact with each other. Like on the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer. They get to interact with the fans but I get the impression that what they like most about it is getting to fellowship with other Buckeyes, often those with whom they never played.

I am impressed by the pro he’s become. Hope he becomes an eventual hall of famer. Seems to be a great ambassador for the game.
