If you don't mind a short drive try Wixies bakery on Glendale. Been there since God made dirt and they don't make anything that doesn't melt in your mouth. It would be worth the drive.

No kidding. My (older) sisters worked there for 75 cents an hour (and all you bastards, by that I mean they were performing bakery duties). It's a very good bakery, though.
