NEW YORK, Feb 7 (Reuters) - New Yorkers who blithely cross the street listening to an iPod or talking on a cell phone could soon face a $100 fine.

What ever happened to "look both ways before you cross the street" was that lesson lost in the recent years? The way I see it, if someone walks out in front of your car because they don't look or hear you that's a bonus, natural selection.

Sigh, next you'll be fined for not wearing a coat on a cold day! :(
