Picture your morning routine. Now picture it with a naked meth-head yelling and banging on the front door of your house. That's what some people in a Surprise neighborhood woke up to last week, and, needless to say, the man was arrested.

Surprise police got a call just before 8 a.m. on October 29, that a man, 21-year-old William Hughes, was naked and raising hell at houses in the 15800 block of West Gelding Drive.

Police say Hughes was seen yelling and banging on the doors of at least four homes in the area, all while completely naked.

Obviously, he was arrested.

After apprehending the naked man, officers took him to Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, where he was found to have meth and marijuana in his system.

After being released from the hospital, he was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on four misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure and six counts of disorderly conduct.

Because there were children in some of the homes, Hughes has also been charged with two counts of felony indecent exposure, as well.

I just have this one thought, why is it considered so traumatizing that a child might see a naked person? It's not like the guy was trying to molest anyone or get a cheap thrill be exposing himself, he was just whacked out on drugs.

Personally, I think a person whacked out on drugs, running around MY neighborhood, should be charged with as many things as possible...let the jury sort it out. You can count on some charges being dropped. On other charges he may be found not guilty.

Also, Ohio doesn't have a public nudity law, whereas Arizona does. They are prudes out there, and have slightly different laws than we do.

My point was they were considering felony charges because children may have seen him. I don't want naked meth heads freaking out in my neighborhood anymore than the next guy but I still don't understand why someone should be charged with a felony because a child saw them naked.
I remember reading a story a few years ago about a guy getting into trouble because he was skinny dipping in his own pool and his daughter's friend saw him and told her parents.

I don't know why exactly, but I found this phrase frighteningly funny
