Funny thing is, the only time that ever concerned me was on a visit back home to Ohio during college. I opened the newspaper and saw a birthday notice (you know how small town newspapers are) of the girl who was my first. At the time of The Event, she was childless. In the paper she was surrounded by 4 or 5 kids. So I rapidly scan each kid and their ages, doing the math in my head.
Phew! The oldest was 18 months beyond my possible patrimony.
