What the hell is a courtesy flush? And, while we're at it, what's with these toilets in Europe where they have those grumpy, old female attendants who expect a tip because you happened to piss in "their" urinal?

Steve, proper protocol is to let them tap it for you when you're done - that way they earn their 'tips'.
