Do You Have Allergies?

I have both environmental and food allergies. Only the environmental really bother me and this spring has been bad so far.

I think I may be developing them as I get older.

I'm alergic to Penicillin.... found out the hard way. That was a fun Thanksgiving.

I was allergic to everything when I was little: foods, pet dander, pollen, dust ... I had the works, plus severe asthma.

I outgrew all of my allergies by the time I hit my teens except for cat dander. I am still deathly allergic to cats. Fifteen minutes in a room that has housed cats and my eyeballs will start swelling out of their sockets and I'll be sniffling and sneezing for the next four hours.

Environmental allergies mostly. Over the past couple years, I've developed a pretty nasty reaction to tobacco smoke as well.

I did get a very nasty case of the hives once when I was a kid. I had large blotches on my arms and legs, and was miserable for a couple of days. Don't know what it was from - I had been in a ravine the day before, but I played in that ravine all the time.

No pollen or dust allergies, but I am allergic to shellfish and bee stings - gotta love ambulance rides.......

Cats and hay are my worst allergies. I would always get sick after hayrides as a kid till we finally put two and two together.

Some moderate seasonal allergies, too.

I found out last summer I am allergic to bees. I had not been stung in 15 years. I was on my way to the office on a Sunday to catch up on paper work and I was stung while getting in the car. I live about 15 minutes away from the office and on the way in my face, ears, neck, etc started itching and hurting.....and I was stung on the hand. When I went into the office I looked in the mirrow and my ears were so swelled I thought they were going to explode. MY ears were ringing, my eyes were almost swelled shut, and I could barely breathe. The hospital was 2 minutes away. I walked in and said "bee sting" and pointed at my hand. They rushed me into a room, asked me if I had any allergies....I said "bees".......They gave me a bunch of shots and IVs. I was good with in a couple hours. Scared the shit out of me after I thought about it. They said if I waited 5 more minutes, it could have been too late.

I know, but it was during 2-a-days for football and I only worked about 15 hours that week.

No allergies. Manfred is allergic to sunflower seeds and my cats.

had the pleasure of shots once a week for many years during elementary school... I think they stopped too early. I still have problems from time to time, much better than it was as a youngster, not allergy free though

Allergic only to pollen/ragweed. This spring has been brutal for me. I also just sneezed while typing that last sentance, for the record.
