have to go with the spoon because the runny cheese remains make every bite of noodle that much better. with the fork, all the good stuff runs through the tines....no good.

I would choose spork also but any utensil that gets the job done really. Anyone ever out Ketchup (or is it catsup) on mac and chese.

I also like mine on the thicker side, so the cheese doesn't run off and through the fork tines.

after six years of college i consider myself an expert at this and will say that if i'm feeling like making a thick batch...sometimes i'll get creative and add an extra slice of kraft cheese...but, still i prefer the spoon as you can get more noodles on there at once. the edges of the spoon do a better job of holding the extra noodles in whereas they simply fall off of the fork and you end up with say 4-6 noodles as opposed to 7-9 :) i am a VERY fast eater so i think about this kind of stuff.
on top of all of this i must say that spirals are amazing (my fave) but sometimes rare and hard to find depending on the grocer. they are best runny.
