Do the Badgers shy away from road night games?

I have noticed that Wisconsin does not play the Buckeyes at night. Is this an anomaly or is this actuality? What about other road venues in the B1G?

There was a quote from bielema a few years back, 07 maybe, expressing his dislike for night games.

Of course, he had no problem scheduling OSU as a home night game the next season.

Also, the big ten does not allow night games after October due to temperature issues.

They seem to be willing to host them. but attempt to avoid them like the plague on the road.

If I were a B1G AD, I wouldn't agree to play a night game in Madison unless the Badgers play a night game at my venue first.

Nope. Television has dictated a lot of decision making for decades, but the B16 has been pretty steadfast with this.

On top of the drinking, many of the big ten venues are very rural and not well lighted or equipped for handling the riled up masses after the game.

Look back at UW's schedules in the past 5-10 years, and you will see a pattern--their biggest in-conference home games are often at night, and they NEVER play in-conference road games at night. Do you really think that's just a coincidence?
