Juan has a very good chance of getting a scholarship. He was on extra point this past season. He deserves a scholarship. He is a very great person.

You mean in an article where he says that Ohio State could get in trouble if Buckeye fans send Juan's mom money...and then surrepetitiously encourages people to do so?

No one knows.

Heck it's not even certain that he is still at Ohio State.

LOL, well that settles that. Apprecaite the info. I was hoping he was still on the team because I think he has a chance to make a difference this year. Garnier and Abdallah on run stuffing situations has the potential to be very nice.

I honestly feel that he will get a scholarship this year. He was on extra point last year and did very well. Plus the NCAA gave him I think an extra year or two to play college football or something.

I don't mean to be callous, but at what point do you give up the ghost? There is no indication at all that Garnier will be an asset to this team, which is the quickest way to a scholarship (see Jason Bond or Trever Robinson). Otherwise, walk-ons will usually get their final years paid for. Now with this extension, that won't be until 2009, which means two more years of shelling out hard-earned cash. I don't understand why someone would be possessed to turn down (multiple times) offers of financial aid from smaller schools when he is this destitute. I am very confident in saying that if Garnier decided 2007 would be his last year that Tressel would award him with a scholarship. However, Tress doesn't take them away once they've been given and I don't think can justify Garnier taking a ship for three years, especially when he's practice squad fodder from all accounts.

49 - Yes, he may be still finishing school, BUT he is no longer with the team. He will be heading to UMASS soon.
