Montini defensive lineman Dylan Thompson added Ohio State to his list of offers last week.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound junior talked about whether the Buckeyes' offer could be a game-changer. Thompson also has offers from Illinois and Indiana.

"It possibly could be," Thompson said. "Coach (Urban) Meyer is a great coach, and they were the only undefeated team last year. Ohio State has such a great program with a ton of tradition.

"I had a chance to talk to Coach Meyer when he offered me, and he seems like a great guy. I'm going to visit Ohio State on Feb. 22, and it will be my first ever visit there. I just want to make the visit and see how things go, and I also want to see how things play out this winter with my recruiting."

Thompson will unofficially visit Michigan State this weekend.

Can see why the coaches like him just from those short videos. Technique needs significant work but really athletic for a kid that size and high reward if he keeps growing and puts it together. Would love to land him with Marshall.

5. Dylan Thompson: Worked at defensive tackle on Sunday, and the Lombard (Ill.) Montini Catholic product had his way with the interior offensive linemen. A great looking prospect on the hoof, the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Thompson was quick off the snap and played really well with his hands. Ohio State is the offer he is favoring and will visit the Buckeyes on Feb. 22. He?ll also visit Purdue, Michigan State and Notre Dame in the near future.

By Trieu....Talks about the recruiting process so far. Says Coach Meyer is arguably the best coach in the country & admits he was very emotional after receiving the offer. Visiting Purdue on 2/24, Michigan State on 3/2, Ohio State on 3/22 & 3/23 and Notre Dame on 4/6 & 4/7. Also plans on visiting Arkansas, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Nebraska & Wisconsin.
