1. Apparently he started as a graduate assistant in early 2017.

2. May serve as graduate assistant for 2 years. - Eligible for a 3rd year if the graduate assistant successfully completes 24-semester hours during the initial 2-year period. The 3rd year must immediately follow the 2nd year.

3. His 3 years would be up in (early) 2020, so he would have to be converted to some other position, maybe a "quality control" guy (i.e. like the position Hartline had, etc.)

Is it me, or does that article seem to be written so as to soften the eventual blow that will be felt? I recognize that we can’t hang on to LJ for forever. I predict that he retires in S&G, but retirement has to be coming up sooner than any of us would like.

If this is the succession plan, so be it. Far better to be prepared by the best ever to coach the DL than to have to go find someone who can do it LJs way.
