LOL..And I may have my NE Ohio blinders on but I think this is the year for Glenville. Its just too hard for opposing defenses to contain all that talent and speed for a full 4 quarters. If they can stay away from the brain fart penalties and make extra points they will win.

Interestingly, Davidson players and fans have heard that so many times yet they keep on winning. The can't beat Elder. They can't beat Mentor. They can't beat St.X. But yet they always do. Their only loss this year came when the entire starting offensive backfield was out with the flu. They then avenged that one loss in the playoffs.

I've got a feeling I'll be seeing a second banner on Davidson's stadium.

Go Cats!!

Appreciate your eye for talent, speed, and what has been the self destructive tendency of Glenville in the past.
I heard Ted Ginn explain recently what a Tarblooder was.
It sounded as if he described Tarblooders as "robots that used to work on the railroad. They got covered in blood and tar." I assumed the "robot" might not be meant literally.
Any additional insight?

Well...Glenville's one loss was to an Ignatius team that was better this year than when they won the state title last year, the only reason Glenville lost the game was stupid penalties and a 15 yard punt with their back to their end zone. I'm not gonna try and act like I know alot about HD because I just havent seen them but their resume this year is more impressive than Glenville's. I think the Glenville would already have a title or two if they didnt have to play in a weak Senate League, some of their previous teams have looked damn good all year but choked at the first sign of adversity in the playoffs due to not being tested at all in confrence play.

Robot? I think he was just implying that the workers had a job to do and got it done, even in the hazardous conditions. The "robot" part is not literal, meaning they didnt think because if they did think about the conditions they probrably couldnt or wouldnt do the job. The name tarblooder comes from the railroad, they would work and get hot tar on them resulting in bleeding and blisters.

Score...Glenville 33 Davidson 17...Dont take it the wrong way....just watched Glenville tear up a great Ignatius team a couple weeks back.

So um, how does the announcer mix up Sturdivant and Wynn?

I mean that's about as big a difference as I can imagine.
