  • Any fellow Disc Golfers on BP? My son and I have been playing for a few years now - started to play more frequently this year (average 3-4 times per week of 9 holes). This past Sunday we had our first (hopefully) annual Father Son Disc Golf Marathon - we played 7 different courses, in around 7 hours - 75 miles of driving, 63 holes, 8.6 miles of walking. It was fun, but exhausting

My youngest is an avid disc golfer. Like, rated. Just won his division in a tourney and came home with a couple hundo.

I go out with him a few times a year. It’s enjoyable, but they don’t let me use my Aerobie so I suck.
thats awesome, i have a few buddies and my sons swim coach that play tourneys all the time and are really good. when i'm playing well, i like to go out with them for a shot of humble pie to be reminded that i'm not that good

Apparently this tourney had a high level professional flight as well. My son pretty much said the same thing about being humbled by the guys who make their living doing this.

It’s pretty amazing to see, I’ll admit.

I love the fact that it’s a sport / activity that you can play pretty much for the rest of your life… and it’s not pickleball.

I might have to take that up. I'm about to retire from state government service and have a lot more time on my hands.
