From what I could find on the DirecTV "support" forums, people are having issues with their local channels in an area stretching (roughly) from Chicago to Pittsburgh with just about every area in-between affected.
It figures (since I was on hold for nearly 30 minutes) that the idiots they employ for customer service didn't know anything about it and tried to pass it off as a "local area problem".....
Unless their local areas are about 1,000 miles across
