All offseason, pundits pointed out the attrition that Ohio State had suffered, as the Buckeyes had a national-high 12 players selected in the NFL draft. Stars like running back Ezekiel Elliott, defensive end Joey Bosa, wideout Michael Thomas, offensive tackle Taylor Decker and linebacker Darron Lee—among other studs—were gone from a team that largely underachieved last season. How would a rebuilt Buckeye squad look? Turns out, pretty good. After Bowling Green opened the scoring with a 63-yard interception return for a TD, the Buckeyes strutted their stuff and announced to the world that they indeed weren’t just back–but maybe better
