I voted this morning.

My voting place had the new digital machines. You insert a credit card type card with a chip in it that stores your ballot and then you just turn the card back in after you are done.

Pretty slick and efficient.

I don't think there's really anything on the ballot here, but I'll be very happy for the election commercials to end after today. I'm close enough to New Jersey that we see all of their campaign spots, and the race for governor has been brutal.

In Chicago, it's a tradition to vote early, and vote often.

Another tradition here is to keep voting years after you've been planted in the cemetery.

A tradition of my family is to take your car to the shop and have it modified to where it only makes right hand turns on election day.

Our election day was last Tuesday, the 1st. My wife and I voted by mail a few weeks ago.

You may have heard in the news that Denver voters successfully passed a measure which decriminalizes posession of <1oz of marijuana. Wishful thinking, as State and Federal law still ban it.
