Good effort, BKB. I actually came up with a formula in the late 90s that I posted on another website - missed the BCS train, I guess - for a few years. I finally stopped doing it once the BCS "national championship game" came along, out of boredom and it seeming a waste of time.
No matter the results, someone always found something to nitpick. You can almost always compare scores of opponents, or opponents-opponents, and come up with "so and so can't be ahead of so and so because..." no matter what statistics you use, because the "best" team doesn't always win every game.
