Yep, but hey, Dekeyser looks like a stud, Brunner and Nyquist almost sorta look like a young Datsyuk and Zetterberg type combo and if the rest of the "over-ripe" AHLers can get some time next season and step up, they could only be a few good FA acquisitions away from being very good again.

If this roster looks the same or similar next season I might think about joining the "holland must go" crowd, it's clear the roster is stale right now and needs re-made.

Good thing Allen completely took Hiller out. Only Samuelsson could've missed that one.

Sammy would have found a way to shoot it into Hiller's chest guard :lol:

it's awesome that one of the kids came through tonight.

At one point in the OT, all 5 rookies for the Wings were on the ice at one time. It doesn't get much clearer than that for the Wings, the youth movement is on and it's working to a certain extent.

Knowing him, he would've put it over the bar trying to be fancy & aiming for the water bottle to one-up Datsyuk.

This is precisely what I was hoping for in terms of making the playoffs: All the young players with no playoff experience getting important minutes in this atmosphere. They're going to gain a lot from this postseason going forward. Even if the Wings don't go very far, this will be big for the guys that had never, or barely played at all in the league before this season.
