Detroit Red Wings (Official Thread)

Yeah......it couldn't be the fact that they're statistically the 2nd best team in the league (the best still left in the playoffs) playing at home. Everything is predicated on what Detroit does.

:tibor:

I watched San Jose struggle with a clearly inferior Colorado team that was gassed getting into the playoffs. How did colorado stay with San jose for as long as they did? They bodied up on them and make San Jose work for everything.

We just saw Detroit blow the doors off of Phoenix when they had previously struggled mightily against. They matched the intensity Phoenix came with and when they did that, things went their way.

So far San Jose has come out intense and sharp and Detroit hasn't risen to the occasion. That's on Detroit. It's the playoffs. You have to have the hunger and desire or the other guy will win.

Add to that Detroit dominated the games against San Jose this year in the regular season and San Jose's penchant for choking in the playoffs, so yeah, Detroit is playing like shit. They did finally pick it up at the end a bit, but they were already in a 3-0 hole.

not the greatest period ever, but 3rd line has some jump. hopefully we'll play a bit better in the 2nd.

Yeah, they can't leave thornton behind the net with a clear look out front. that's going to end up a goal like 70% of the time or something like that.

I didn't see the 3rd goal, I was changing a diaper :p

And you're the HateHineyGate of Rangers fans

Do you really think San Jose is the best team left in the playoffs? Really? Out of the 8 teams left they would be ranked no higher than 3rd by most, behind both Vancouver and Chicago.

And if you don't want to read what I'm posting, don't read it. I thought that was what this thread was for - posting my thoughts.

BTW if you want to get into statistics, the only team left in the West that San Jose has a winning record against this year is Vancouver. Both Detroit and Chicago went 3-0-1 with a 12-7 and 17-11 goal differential respectively.

So HateHineyGate never posts anything about his favorite team of whatever sport you're comparing me to? Good comparison, chief.
