See! It's easy to do, isn't it!!BuckeyeNation27 said:My bad 27. I meant to hit the quote button, not the edit.
can you sign me up for the sloopy school of comebacks? these are real gems.Good. You can put that on your list of other "to-do's" today:
1. Buy Spock Ears for Star Trek Convention
2. Call T-Shirt Manufacturer and ask for a Refund
3. See if you can actually "Free Maurice"
4. Go upstairs and ask Mom if she can make you Cap'n Crunch for breakfast today
5. Buy new backpack and lunch pail at Wal-Mart's "Back to School" sale
One you get all those tasks done, you'll be all set.
Attention, Attention. Newsflash.I hate the yankees but laugh when people dis quality players.
I agree with you there, BuckStocks. As a longtime Yankees fan, I can fully understand why a lot of people hate the Yanks; but Jeter is not a good focal point for that hatred. Unlike some of the guys who were superstars before they became Yankees, and are Yankees now only because the Yanks have the biggest bankroll, Jeter came up through the farm system. Not to mention that he plays his ass off every game. (edit:) Even though he's the highest profile player on a team you may hate, you've got to respect his career.BuckStocksHere said:Wow this thread went down the crapper......
Back to topic: I would take Jeter on my team any freakin day. He is better than what the 'crew can throw out there at shortstop right now and in the future.

I sure as hell do respect the guy. I don't want to start sounding like I like the yanks...because gosh I don't, BUT I think they are supremely talented and have a lot of decent guys over there. Sure they can buy whomever, but they ARE following the rules, even though it puts all of the little guys at a disadvantage.zincfinger said:I agree with you there, BuckStocks. Yeah, I agree with that. MLB would be much better served if they instituted a salary cap (although the players' union looks like it would never stand for that). I wouldn't like the Yankees either if I hadn't grown up with 'em (and lived through the 80's and early 90's when they finished second or third behind Toronto every year).BuckStocksHere said:When A-rod makes as much as our entire team....I think there is a pretty wide disparity that needs to be fixed no? Curious on a yankee fan take if you can step outside your "fandom". peace.
