Denver Nuggets (official thread)

You mean the NBA actually admitted they were wrong for once?

Close, but not quite an actual NBA self-confession of wrong.:(

They certainly did blame the three refs for being wrong.:)

In a statement, the NBA said referees Steve Javie, Zach Zarba and Bill Kennedy should have ruled Kendrick Perkins' go-ahead basket with 1:05 left was goaltending . . .

Nuggs off to a decent start so far at 5-2. Should have tied the first Laker game but Gallinari is a tard. They look good though, young guys getting a lot of garbage time minutes, and Afflalo hasn't really taken off just yet so good things could come this season.

Kosta Koufos with his first career double-double tonight.

And Kenneth Faried with a storybook game: his first career points on what should be #1 on SC, a few mean blocks and knocked down two FTs in the final seconds to give us 110 pts and 4 tacos for $1 tomorrow! What a hero!

They are a fun team to watch, and play truly unselfish ball. Who would have thought that they would get better by giving up Carmelo? Koufas had a good game, and will get more and more minutes as the season progresses. And Faried is a physical freak. Guy can jump out of the gym. If he ever learns to shoot the ball, look out!

If you haven't seen Kenny Faried play, be sure to check out a Nuggies game soon. Very entertaining player to watch. Last night he went 27 points and 17 boards and was a +33. Almost all of his points are in the paint and on the breaks. If he develops a mid range jumper we are talking all star.

DENVER -- Denver Nuggets reserve center Chris "Birdman" Andersen was excused indefinitely from all team-related activities after sheriff's deputies searched his home Thursday as part of an investigation by the department's Internet Crimes Against Children unit.
The team announced its decision shortly before the Nuggets faced the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 6 of their playoff series. The team said Anderson was excused "as he deals with the reported investigation" and declined further comment.
The unit investigating Andersen investigates child porn, Internet luring, child predators and child pornography.
The sheriff's office said it recovered property from Andersen's home that investigators believe is connected with the case. Sherman said items typically seized by the unit include computers, hard drives and thumb drives, though she said she could not provide details on what items were seized from Andersen's home, citing the ongoing investigation.

I don't know how hurt Melo was last night, when he took himself out of the game. I do know that he didn't want to be a part of that ass whoopin.

I think the ESPN announcers were "kind" to say he went in to have his knee drained so he could be ready for Portland. The loss of Tyson chandlerfor a few games could be just as big. He plays hard every game. On the Nuggets front, it is suprising to me that as well as Denver has played the last 2 months, they are still in fifth place in the west. Speaks to how tough the upper-echelon teams in the western conference are. It will be very advantagious if they can overtake the Clippers for 4th and get home court for the first round if that is indeed the match-up.

A very quiet 11 game win streak, as in nobody has said a word about it.

And tonight the Nuggets made it 13 in a row with a solid win at OKC. Denver was in control the entire second half, and at times made the Thunder look very vulnerable. Yes it has been a quiet win streak in the national media. However there is only so much time in the day, and the Heat's 23 in a row, and Tiger and Lindsey are just too big of stories to hold down. I am certain the rest of the western conference has taken notice to how Denver is playing.
