Dennis Dodd's early 2005 Heisman candidates

nah he's a good QB in a great system. he will get the numbers.
He'll get big numbers, but if Kingsbury and Cumbie weren't Heisman finalists, this guy won't be either; unless they beat Oklahoma amd/or Texas, which is very unlikely. And I know he's only ranked 13th, I'm just saying that Teddy should be ahead of him, since he has a better chance to make enough noise to go to NY.

You think its the "Sophomores don't win the Heisman" thing? Or the "Ohio State is corrupt" thing, or he won't get the numbers in 2005?
Yes. No. Yes.

If Teddy and Santonio come as advertised this fall, then the best shot for a Buckeye to goto NYC is probably going to be Troy Smith. However, at that point I think the "corrupt" thing probably keeps him from winning it, but he is my pick to earn a seat.

I think if Teddy catches 45-50 balls, carries the ball between 40-50 times, gets between 20-30 punt returns, 20-30 kickoff returns...he's going to have some stats. I don't care if he gets some here some there...unlike a QB or RB with a load of stats in one column. If he scores at the same rate as he did last year (what was it like, once every 9 touches?), he's going to be in NYC. There's NO way JT and co. don't get him the ball 15-20 times each game, whether it be on ST or Offense. Ginn's electrifying playstyle alone draws eyes and that is why people are even mentioning him for the Heisman this year, because he's a special brand and voters like uniqueness (hence Woodson's trophy, like he deserved it). I think Teddy has as good a chance as anyone to be in NYC. Can't see why not. Being a sophomore is not a factor (see last year's top 5 guest list).
