Vlade's "Easy Living Cafe," which had the best corned beef sandwich I've ever tasted, is now closed - although he will still have the catering portion open.

I had never heard of Vlade's before, and this makes me angry that I hadn't.
On a related note, I had a corned beef sandwich at Katz's Deli in NY a few weeks ago. It was a good sandwich, but I don't know that it was $35 good.

Katz is definitely a tourist magnet with the prices and lines to go along with it. I don't know what "smoked out on that sour diesel" means, but I assume it's complimentary.
